Nice to meet you all!
Here's Michele, a Ubuntu 12.04 user from Italy.
A few weeks ago I was trying to watch the livestream of a conference.
It wasn't the first time, but this time my Ubuntu laptop
(Version of Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.273
System in use: Linux 32-bit, Firefox )
didn't work.
The buffer wheel just rolled on and on, without showing a single frame.
So I dropped a line to the support guy, and among other things he pointed out
that according to this url
http://www.adobe.com/products/hds-dynamic-streaming/features.html
HTTP Dynamic Streaming is supported on Linux.
Every other system I had access to ran fine;
my iPad (via the same access point) streamed fine,
a Windows XP system streamed fine;
even my Linux Fedora desktop system streamed fine (which supports the support guy point).
But my Ubuntu system didn't.
I found it weird. Does anyone of you have an idea of what possibly went wrong? At least, could you give me the URL of a website that streams content with the same technology (so I can see if it shows the same problem)?
Thanks in advances for your kind time!
Michele
